We are looking to recruit to a group leader post for Montgomery residential children’s home in Sheffield. You will support the management of the day-to-day operation of the home and ensure that the home meets the Children’s Homes Regulations and Quality standards.
You must hold a level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare or have relevant experience and have a minimum of two years’ work experience in a position relevant to the direct care of children and young people. You must be able to lead and make decisions, supporting the Homes’ manager and your team members.
You will supervise residential child-care practitioners and ancillary workers have knowledge and understanding of the issues affecting children and young people in care.
Flexible working including working evenings, weekends and bank holidays on a rota is a requirement with any out of hours work attracting pay enhancements and sleep ins at the national agreed rate. Our homes are frequently inspected in relation to national minimum standards by Ofsted and therefore experience of inspections would be an advantage.
