Responsibilities
 * Delivering hands‑on lessons, demonstrations, and assessments across a range of plumbing courses
 * Sharing your industry knowledge and guiding learners to reach their full potential
 * Supporting learners through their studies and helping them gain confidence in their skills
 * Contributing your real‑world experience to help design and improve course delivery
 * Track, assess, and support student progress, planning interventions to help every learner succeed
 * Share your industry expertise and real‑world experience to prepare learners for work in the trade
 * Model professionalism and high standards in the workshop and classroom
 * Teach across Level 1 to Level 3 Plumbing courses, motivating learners of all abilities to reach their goals
Qualifications and Experience
 * Industry expert in plumbing, gas engineering, construction, or a related trade
 * Experience in teaching, training apprenticeships, mentoring colleagues, or sharing knowledge on site
 * Positive attitude, supportive approach, and passion for helping learners develop their skills and confidence
 * Willingness to attend Teacher Academy training, mentoring, and digital skills support to become a confident educator

Salary and Terms
There are two salary scale points for our Lecturer positions. All candidates will start at the introductory salary scale point unless certain criteria are met. Lecturers will normally move up to the highest salary scale once one full academic year of teaching for our group is complete. Lecturers must be in post by 1st September in any given year to qualify and this is subject to approval.
