Powder Coater
Shifts: Monday to Friday 1:00 PM to 10:00 PM – late shift, 40 hours per week.
Contract: Stable Temp-to-Perm position.
We are seeking an experienced Powder Coater (Powder Coating Operative) to join a busy production team.
Key responsibilities
* Prepare components for finishing: cleaning, degreasing, masking and hanging parts.
* Operate powder spray booth and curing ovens safely and efficiently.
* Apply powder coatings to meet specified finish, colour and thickness standards.
* Carry out routine quality checks and final inspections; correct defects or report issues.
* Maintain a clean, organised work area and perform basic routine maintenance of equipment.
* Follow health & safety procedures, COSHH and environmental controls for coating operations.
* Record production data and complete required paperwork.
Skills and experience required
* Proven experience as a powder coater or in a similar finishing role.
* Strong understanding of powder coating process, spray techniques and oven curing.
* Good attention to detail and commitment to producing consistent, high‑quality finishes.
* Ability to work standing for prolonged periods and handle parts of varying size and weight.
* Reliable, punctual and able to work within a team environment.
* Basic numeracy and record‑keeping skills.
