Due to the sensitive nature of this role, you may be required to undergo DV (Developed Vetting) level Security Clearance. A £5,000 per annum allowance may be payable monthly while you hold this DV and continue to work in a role that requires that level of security clearance. If you are successful, the terms of this allowance will be provided.
Responsibilities
* Support and develop critical, large‑scale on‑prem Cybersecurity platforms within the Cyber Processing & Data Science capability area.
* Embed security controls into our architectures, processes and ways of working, ensuring alignment with industry best practice.
* Work closely within a multidisciplinary engineering team to meet the needs of internal and external customers.
* Take ownership of complex technical deliveries, handling ambiguous high‑level problem statements.
* Advocate and practice DevSecOps technologies, tools and practices.
* Maintain existing IT infrastructure.
* Identify and lead the improvement of insecure or inefficient ways of working.
* Demonstrate leadership through the quality of your work and by supporting others through collaboration and knowledge sharing.
Qualifications & Skills
* 5+ years of experience designing, deploying, operating or maintaining large‑scale cybersecurity or infrastructure environments.
* Strong knowledge of Linux and security‑specific benchmarks (CIS, etc.).
* Experience with vulnerability scanning (e.g., Trivy, Nessus) and security information and event management.
* Familiarity with static code analysis and software bill of materials (SBOM).
* Experience with patch management and Kubernetes security standards.
* Strong problem‑solving ability, capable of working through complex issues and documenting solutions.
* Self‑driven, able to research and learn innovative technologies independently.
Requirements
* DV Security Clearance is required.
* Must have lived in the UK for 10+ years to obtain clearance.
* Full‑time, 5 days a week onsite, Monday‑Friday, 37.5 hours per week.
