Quantity Surveyor (Commercial & Contracts)
Location: Gloucester – Hybrid (onsite 2‑3 days per week)

Arca Resourcing is supporting a growing specialist engineering business in Gloucester operating within the UK energy and infrastructure sector to appoint a Quantity Surveyor.
This opportunity is open to individuals ranging from junior through to intermediate level. You do not need to come from a utilities background; candidates from construction, engineering, infrastructure, or other contract‑led environments are encouraged to apply.
A working knowledge of NEC4 contracts is essential for this role.
The Role
* Reporting to senior leadership, you will support the commercial and contractual management across the business, with particular emphasis on:
* Supporting the management and administration of client and subcontractor contracts
* Assisting with NEC4 contract processes, including early warnings and compensation events
* Ensuring contractual documentation, insurances, and compliance records are accurate and up to date
* Supporting contract reviews, amendments, and governance processes
* Working with internal teams to ensure contractual obligations are understood and delivered
* Maintaining organised records of contracts and commercial documentation
* Supporting risk identification and ensuring appropriate commercial controls are in place
About You
* Experience in a Quantity Surveyor, Assistant QS, or commercial role
* Working knowledge of NEC4 contracts (essential)
* Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
* Commercially aware with a structured and methodical approach
* Confident communicator, able to work with internal teams and external stakeholders
