HR Advisor (Job ref: HR017). Salary: £28,000-£32,000 depending on experience. Hours: 37 hours per week, Mon-Fri. Location: Hybrid working – Exeter Library and home. Closing date: 9am on Wednesday, 19th November 2025. Interview date: w/c Monday, 24th November 2025 at Exeter Library.

We are looking for a committed, innovative HR generalist to join our HR Team. The purpose of this role is to provide high quality advice and insight on all areas of HR, including employee relations, training and development, payroll, and recruitment to support staff at every level to achieve operational and strategic objectives. This post is a great opportunity to build your skills across the whole HR field and get involved in a wide range of cases and projects.
Responsibilities
* Provide high quality HR advice and insight across all HR areas including employee relations, training and development, payroll, and recruitment to support staff at every level.
* Support operational and strategic objectives through effective case work and project involvement.
* Contribute to building a wide range of HR cases and projects within the team.
Qualifications
* Experience of managing employee relations matters, including absence, disciplinary procedures, and grievances, and dealing with staff at all levels.
* Up-to-date knowledge of employment law and HR best practice.
* Ability to provide appropriate challenge as needed.
* Due to the nature of the role, a satisfactory Basic DBS check and credit check will be required.
