An exciting opportunity has opened up for a talented Art & Design Teacher alongside a specialism in Graphics or Photography to join a forward-thinking secondary academy in Dorset, starting September 2025. This full-time position is being offered on a long-term basis, with the school looking to commit to a fixed-term contract for the full academic year. The role will be teaching Art and Design mainly in KS3 with some focus on KS4 with the opportunity to teach Photography or Graphics on the timetable too.

Key Responsibilities
Plan and deliver engaging Art & Design lessons with a focus an added focus Graphics or Photography at Key Stages 3 and 4
Inspire creativity through a diverse curriculum incorporating both traditional and digital techniques
Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment
Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback
Contribute to curriculum planning and the development of the Art Department
Support or lead extracurricular opportunities such as art clubs, exhibitions, or creative projects
Participate in whole-school activities and events
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
A degree in Art & Design or a related field
Experience teaching Art & Design at Key Stage 3 and/or 4
Strong subject knowledge and passion for creative education
Excellent communication and classroom management skills
Willingness to engage in wider school life and contribute to the creative faculty
Open to both ECTs and experienced teachers
Competitive daily pay (£160–£238 depending on experience)
