Prospero Teaching is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic SEND Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and inclusive primary mainstream school on a long-term basis. By joining our team, youll play a vital role in helping schools meet the individual needs of children, particularly those requiring additional support to thrive in the classroom. The Role: Supporting children with a range of SEND needs within the classroom and through targeted interventions. Working closely with the class teacher, SENCO, and other professionals to ensure all pupils have access to a tailored and enriching education. Assisting with the preparation of resources and creating a supportive learning environment. Providing 1:1 and small group support, helping pupils develop academically, socially, and emotionally. Monitoring and recording pupil progress and providing feedback to the wider team. The Ideal Candidate Will: Have previous experience working with children with SEND, ideally within a UK primary school setting (essential). Hold a minimum of a Level 2 qualification in education or childcare (essential). Be patient, resilient, and nurturing, with a genuine commitment to helping children succeed. Have strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team. Hold an enhanced DBS check registered on the Update Service (or be willing to apply for one).
