Are you a dynamic, creative, and seasoned communications and marketing professional? We are expanding our ambitious Communications & Marketing team at Nottingham City Council and have four Communications and Marketing Officer roles available!
This is a great opportunity to join a personable, professional, and innovative team that sits at the heart of the Council, as we work to rebuild capacity and make a strategic impact across the organisation.

The roles
As a Communications & Marketing Officer, you won’t just be a "cog in the machine." You will be a creative lead, responsible for developing and delivering insight-based campaigns that meet real business objectives.
Your core responsibilities will include:
* Delivering creative promotional campaigns with a focus on digital advertising, web optimisation, and event marketing.
* Working on our busy media desk, managing local and national press enquiries, and writing high-quality news articles and press releases.
* Providing expert counsel to senior leaders, politicians, and external partners to protect and enhance the Council’s reputation.
While these roles work across all Council areas, two of our new recruits will lead role in supporting our Waste and Cleansing services, and one in our Greenspace service developing targeted communications to engage residents and drive service improvements.
Key skills and experience:
* A strong background in Marketing, Communications, and PR.
* A "strong news sense" and the ability to craft compelling narratives for diverse audiences.
* Experience in digital marketing for recruitment, commercialisation, or behaviour change campaigns.
* The ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining initiative and enthusiasm.
* Confidence in collaborating with senior stakeholders and external partners.
