Morgan McKinley is supporting a growing international business seeking an experienced Interim Finance Manager to support UK operations during a period of business transformation. With a strong presence across the UK and a reputation for operational scale, this organisation requires a confident finance leader to maintain control and reporting standards while contributing to wider business improvements.\n\nKey Responsibilities:\n\nFull ownership of monthly management accounts across multiple UK business units\n\nLead the month-end process: journals, accruals, prepayments, and intercompany reconciliations\n\nMaintain rigorous balance sheet controls and ensure compliance with internal procedures and IFRS\n\nPartner closely with operational leaders to deliver actionable financial insights\n\nSupport annual budgeting, forecasting cycles, and variance analysis\n\nManage and mentor junior finance team members (part-qualified and transactional staff)\n\nCoordinate audit support and assist with year-end close preparation\n\nDrive process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and accuracy\n\nDeliver ad-hoc analysis and reporting to the senior leadership team\n\nCandidate Profile:\n\nFully qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA)\n\nStrong background in a Finance Manager role within a fast-paced, operationally complex business\n\nExperience in transport, logistics, infrastructure or large-scale services industries advantageous\n\nConfident using ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or similar) and advanced Excel\n\nSolid understanding of IFRS and financial control frameworks\n\nComfortable working with cross-functional stakeholders and operational teams\n\nAvailable immediately or at short notice\n\nDesirable:\n\nExperience in a regulated, unionised or asset-heavy environment\n\nExposure to transformation projects or systems upgrades\n\nKnowledge of Power BI or similar reporting tools
