About the Role:
Our Automotive Professions department operates a fully functional, real work environment — offering MOTs, servicing, and repairs to the public. We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Automotive Technology Lead and Professional Trainer to take ownership of this commercial and training operation.
Essential Requirements:
* Organise and manage college-based industry workshops to professional standards, fostering innovative teaching and learning practices.
* Deliver high-quality training and assessment to learners in both workshop and classroom environments — primarily across our college campuses, with potential for delivery in industry settings.
* Oversee and perform repairs on live customer vehicles, ensuring work is completed to the highest standards and in line with statutory requirements.
* Deliver and undertake MOT testing and vehicle maintenance.
* Provide MOT Tester training to qualified automotive professionals.
Essential Experience:
* A qualified automotive professional with extensive industry experience.
* MOT testing qualification and current registration (preferred).
* Proven ability to deliver training and assess learner progress effectively.
* Passion for sharing knowledge and nurturing the next generation of automotive professionals.
