Are you an experienced TIG-MMA Welder ready for your next adventure? Cavendish Nuclear are seeking experienced TIG-MMA Welders to join our team on the prestigious Hinkley Point C project on night shift. The Role
Play a pivotal role in building the UK's clean energy future.
Work within the MEH Alliance, collaborating effectively to deliver complex piping and cabling systems.
Perform welding operations to a radiographic standard.
Conduct equipment inspections.
Adhere to established welding protocols and safety regulations, including fume control.
Identify and report potential welding problems for corrective action.
Ability to identify your own welds for quality control.
Comply with established quality control procedures and documentation standards.
Required Skills
TIG Welders required for high integrity pipe welding
Structural MMA Welders required for pipe supports and brackets at Hinkley Point C.
Suitable candidates will be required to test to the following ISO 9606 standards:
SWQ-02 Butt Weld - 2" carbon steel pipe weld - 6G position - All TIG
SWQ-02 Fillet Weld - 2" carbon steel pipe to plate - horizontal position - TIG
SWQ-04 Butt weld - 2" Stainless steel pipe weld using full Tig (root, fill & cap) in 6G position - All TIG
SWQ-04 Fillet weld - 2" pipe to plate using TIG in horizonal position - All TIG
Or
SWQ-70 Box to Plate - structural steel - horizontal position - MMA.
Suitable candidates must be able to provide evidence of:
Level 2 / Apprenticeship / City & Guilds in Welding
