Overview
Responsibilities and requirements for the role include delivering excellent customer service, managing both online and in-store orders, and supporting home delivery operations.
* Picking and selecting the best quality products on the shop floor that online customers have ordered, ready for delivery, or providing substitutions when items are out of stock.
* Using a handset that plans your route around the store, indicating what you need to select and how long you have to complete each shop.
* Working behind the scenes to handle customer queries, process orders, and help load vans for Home Delivery Drivers.
* Always ready to serve customers, answer questions, and proactively offer help.
* Build knowledge about products, services, and promotions to provide recommendations.
* Work flexibly across the store as required. Shifts may start early (most shifts start at 4am) in a fast-paced, physical, and high-energy environment, often on your own but also part of a team.
* Be friendly and welcoming with genuine enthusiasm for helping customers.
* Enjoy a fast-paced, physical environment, use initiative to solve problems, and take responsibility for tasks.
* Be flexible and productive to a high standard across the store; training will cover a variety of skills to enable learning, development, and trying new things.
* Be comfortable learning to use new digital tools and technology and moving shopping containers up to 15 kg.
* Have great attention to detail, keep the store clean and clutter-free, and create the best shopping experience for customers. You must be above the school-leaver age in your country.
* If shifts cover hours earlier than 6am or later than 11pm, you will need to be at least 18 years of age.
* You must have Right to Work eligibility in the UK.
