We are offering a new and exciting opportunity for someone who wants to work towards their first management and leadership role. We are looking to recruit a Graduate Management Trainee Apprentice which will give you the chance to earn whilst you learn on the job. This role will bring you to the heart of the Council on a 26-month fixed term contract, rotating through three different placements across our Directorates. Each placement offers the chance to deliver projects and drive real change, supporting key strategic objectives within our Pride in Place and Adult and Community Service Directorates, making a lasting difference to our local community. You will combine hands-on experience with a fully funded CMDA Level 6 qualification, giving you the best of both worlds while gaining a recognised qualification.
Your first placement will involve working with experienced project managers to deliver capital projects. These are long-term investments in town centres, buildings and infrastructure ensuring every project supports our strategic priorities in regeneration and growth. Placements 2 and 3 will build and apply your skills with ongoing support from your team and mentors. Qualifications & Skills
* Essential: Effective communication and interpersonal skills; ability to problem solve and make decisions; ability to work to competing deadlines.
* English: This role requires the ability to fulfil all spoken aspects of the role with confidence and fluency in English.
* Knowledge: Effective organisational and time management skills with the ability to prioritise workload; competency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Outlook and Teams.
* Experience & Qualifications: A level 3 qualification (A-level, NVQ, BTEC, or equivalent) in a relevant subject (e.g., Project Management, Administration, Economics, Business Studies, Contract Management).
