On behalf of our client, we are seeking to recruit a Spacecraft Production Operator on an initial 6-month contract. As a Spacecraft Production Operator, you will be responsible for the assembly, integration, and testing of spacecraft payloads and active antennas.

21 - 25 per hour via Umbrella + shift uplift when on shifts

4 on 4 off early, late, and night shifts (when required) - 6 months

Responsibilities:
* Health and safety: Comply with production area health and safety requirements and practices, including handling of hazardous substances in accordance with COSHH requirements.
* Mechanical integration of payload equipment, connectivity items (coaxial cables and waveguides), test instrumentation (thermocouples, heater circuits, accelerometers), DC harness (connector mating and de-mating), MLI (templating, tailoring, fitting), structural components (inserts, riv-nuts, panel repairs), and wiring activities.
* Interpretation of technical documentation such as schematic drawings, wiring diagrams, 2D and 3D general assembly drawings, technical notes, and integration procedures.
* Electrical testing, including performing automated test sequences using a payload test system, manual RF measurements of payload equipment and subsystems, and electrical integration.
* Test performance: checking payload equipment performance against parameters detailed in test procedures and reviewing results for non-conformances.
* Maintaining workspace standards, including 5S policy, process confirmation, and tool control.
* Contributing to team performance activities, including Kaizen and SQCDP.
Essential Skills:
* Experience in a production environment related to mechanical assembly or electrical/RF testing.
* HNC or HND in an engineering production or maintenance field.
* Apprenticeship in aerospace/space or other high-quality production or maintenance fields.
