Teaching Personnel is currently working with a school in Wythenshawe that is looking for a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to support a Year 5 pupil who requires additional help. This is a full‑time position, starting immediately and continuing for the remainder of the academic year.
In this role, you will provide one‑to‑one support to a pupil with special educational needs, helping them to engage fully in classroom activities and access learning effectively. You will work closely with the class teacher and the SENCO to deliver tailored learning strategies that meet the child's individual needs. A key part of the role will be creating a positive, inclusive environment where the pupil feels supported, encouraged, and able to thrive. You will also be responsible for monitoring their progress and sharing updates with staff and parents.
The ideal candidate will have previous experience working with children with SEN, ideally within a Key Stage 2 setting. You should be patient, empathetic, and able to adapt your approach to suit the needs of the child. Strong communication and teamwork skills are essential, along with a genuine passion for supporting children’s learning and development.
