Production Engineer

Days - 39 hours per week, with flexible start and finish times
Hourly rate - Negotiable depending on experience
Overview:
EMBS Engineering is working with a leading precision engineering manufacturer based near Lichfield, to find an experienced 5 axis CNC Production Engineer. The business is a long-established specialist within the precision engineering sector, supplying safety-critical and highly complex components to globally recognised customers.
Due to a busy order book, our client is keen to add additional expertise to their talented existing team.

Your core responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
* Programming and refining CNC machining operations on multi axis machines using state of the art offline software to produce detailed, safety critical components
* Performing reverse engineering techniques in order to identify machining improvements
* Developing and modifying 3D models and technical drawings using CAD software
* Creating work instructions, SOP’s and general production documentation
* Contributing to suggestions and improvements to develop internal capabilities and final component output
What experience you MUST have:
* Experience performing a Production Engineering / Manufacturing Engineering / CAD CAM
* Programmer / Offline CNC Programmer / CNC Programmer or similar role, within precision manufacturing
* Strong proficiency in Siemens NX, Hypermill or Catia V5 is preferred, however, other CAD CAM softwares will be considered
* Solid understanding and experience of machining metallic materials
* Sound knowledge of GD&T
* Experience creating programs to produce high-precision, complex components
