Overview of the role:
We are looking to recruit a Parks Development Officer to support the day-to-day delivery of the Councils greenspaces services.
Responsibilities and Duties
* Liaise and manage relationships with customers, stakeholders, and contractors.
* Develop service strategies and improvement plans.
* Manage and maintain accurate data records.
* Act as the lead officer for Stewardship applications and oversee ongoing contract management.
* Support open space needs assessments through planning, consultation, and review processes.
* Implement recommendations from the Leisure and Culture Strategy.
* Provide feedback to the Planning Team on matters related to landscape, ecology, habitat, and biodiversity.
* Coordinate and deliver the Green Flag Award programme in collaboration with team colleagues.
* Lead on the marketing and promotion of services.
* Enhance facilities within parks and open spaces to increase public usage and satisfaction.
