Hours: Monday to Friday, 37 hours (with flexible start/finish)

As a Design Engineer, you'll be a key part of the engineering team, developing cutting-edge mechanical components and assemblies for advanced scientific and research applications. As a Design Engineer, your responsibilities will include:
Driving new product introductions and delivering quality design support using 8D reporting tools.
Leading NPI projects from concept through to customer delivery using MS Project and internal NPI funnel processes.
Engaging with clients and third parties to develop and introduce precision mechanical solutions.
Performing feasibility studies and delivering cost reduction strategies in collaboration with internal teams.
Coaching junior engineers and helping to build internal capabilities through structured development plans.
To be successful as a Design Engineer, you will need:
Proven experience in a high-precision manufacturing environment.
Track record in launching 3–5 new products to market.
Experience working directly with customers, including site visits or international engagement.
A practical, results-driven mindset with excellent attention to detail and project management skills.
Additional experience (desirable but not essential):
Familiarity with UHV markets, customers or suppliers.
Experience using ERP or other engineering systems.
