This Consultant in Acute Medicine post is a fantastic opportunity to join a fast‑paced, innovative, improvement‑driven service within Croydon University Hospital. The Acute Medical Unit (AMU) has 46 beds where acutely unwell medical patients are admitted either directly from M‑SDEC or most commonly from the Emergency Department. Once in AMU, patients are assessed, stabilized and receive rapid evidence‑based treatments before being referred to specialist medically‑zoned wards elsewhere in the Trust, ensuring the right care by the right clinician while still receiving early input from a senior clinician (Acute Medicine Consultant).
