Senior Practitioner Psychologist
Join Sussex Partnership NHS Foundation Trust as a Band 8a Senior Clinical Psychologist in the friendly Coastal Sussex CAMHS team based across Worthing & Chichester. The post is highly specialist and part‑time.
Preceptorship & Development
* This role is open to Band 7 Psychologists as part of our robust Band 7‑8 Preceptorship programme, which fully supports you during the transition.
* The framework allows you to progress from a Band 7 to an 8a role within 18 to 36 months.
* Practitioner Psychologists who qualified 12 months ago or have at least 1 year post‑qualification clinical practice are welcome to apply.
* The Preceptorship Development Plan ensures support to progress from Band 7 to 8a within 3 years (please see attached document for details).
* There is CPD support available through SPFT, including training in supervision, CBT and other therapeutic modalities.
Responsibilities & Core Skills
* Develop and deliver high quality assessment, intervention and formulation across a range of psychological models such as CBT, systemic and attachment‑based models to complex comorbid presentations.
* Lead and supervise in group psychotherapy, DBT, EMDR and clinical supervision, and provide leadership duties including clinical governance and quality improvement.
* Support the embedding of trauma‑informed care and innovate digital interventions for CBT groups and low‑intensity therapists.
* Contribute to the delivery and evaluation of the full range of CAMHS practice and practice leadership.
