Job Description
3. Lead and manage civil and structural engineering design for utility‑scale wind power projects, covering turbine foundations, roads, crane pads, and site development.
4. Design a variety of wind turbine foundation types (gravity, raft, piled, rock anchor) based on geotechnical conditions, seismic factors, and OEM requirements.
5. Perform detailed structural calculations including reinforcement design, stability checks, and settlement analysis using relevant engineering standards.
6. Oversee the design of 33kV electrical infrastructure foundations such as pole footings, cable trench systems, and underground cable routing.
7. Plan and design crane pads, assembly areas, and heavy‑equipment platforms required for turbine erection and component handling.
8. Develop approach roads and internal access networks with considerations for heavy‑equipment transport, gradients, turning radii, and drainage.
9. Coordinate geotechnical investigations, assess soil reports, validate technical assumptions, and manage material testing activities.
10. Ensure on‑site construction quality by monitoring compliance with drawings, specifications, and resolving non‑conformities.
11. Collaborate with OEMs, contractors, and consultants while managing BOQs, RFQs, technical evaluations, and ensuring smooth project execution.
The Successful Applicant
12. Civil engineering professionals with 10-15 years of experience in large‑scale wind power projects and at least 3-5 years in a senior leadership role.
13. Strong expertise in wind turbine foundation design, covering gravity, raft, piled, and rock‑anchor systems.
14. Proficiency with structural and design tools such as, ETABS, SAP2000, and AutoCAD Civil 3D.
15. Deep understanding of engineering standards and codes relevant to structural, geotechnical, and wind turbine foundation design.
16. Strong command over geotechnical investigations, soil interpretation, load testing, and validating engineering assumptions.
17. Demonstrated ability to ensure high construction quality, supervise site execution, and maintain compliance with approved designs.
18. Effective communication and coordination skills to work with OEMs, EPC teams, civil contractors, and technical consultants.
19. Proven leadership experience managing engineering teams, multiple project sites, and driving design optimization or cost‑saving initiatives.
20. Detail‑oriented, analytical thinkers capable of solving complex, site‑specific engineering and construction challenges.
