I'm excited to represent a fast-paced licensed pop culture business operating across emerce, marketplaces, retail and wholesale channels.Working with some of the world’s biggest entertainment brands and manage a large multi-channel operation across platforms including Shopify, Amazon and major retail partners.As the business continues to grow, they are now looking for a hands-on Financial Controller to strengthen the finance function and take ownership of operational finance, reporting and financial control processes.
Your new role
This is a key role within the finance team, you will be responsible for ensuring accurate financial reporting, strong financial controls and reliable operational finance processes across the business.The role will involve taking ownership of management accounts, VAT reporting, ie reconciliations, royalty reporting support and finance process improvements within a fast-moving merce and retail environment.You will work closely with the Head of Finance and wider leadership team to support the continued growth and operational stability of the business.Are you someone who ismercially minded, detail-focused and operationally strong?This role would suit a proactive person who enjoys taking ownership, enjoys autonomy and improving processes and helping bring structure and control to a growing business environment.
Key Responsibilities
You will:
Prepare monthly management accounts and supporting analysis
1. Maintain accurate VAT accounting and reporting processes
2. Manage and reconcile high-volume ie data across multiple sales channels
3. Support quarterly royalty reporting and related financial analysis
4. Oversee balance sheet reconciliations and month-end processes
5. Monitor cash flow and assist with forecasting
6. Improve finance systems, controls and reporting accuracy
7. Support audit preparation and statutory reporting requirements
8. Work closely with operational teams to improve financial visibility and controls
9. Assist with budgeting and financial planning processes
10. Support the development and management of the finance team
11. Identify process improvement opportunities across finance operations
What you'll need to succeed
12. Fully qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA or ACA)
13. Previous experience within a Financial Controller, Senior Finance Manager or similar role
14. Strong management accounts experience
15. Excellent reconciliation and analytical skills
16. Experience managing large volumes of financial data
17. Strong understanding of VAT and financial controls
18. Confident working within fast-pacedmercial environments
19. Strong Excel and finance systems experience
20. Organised, hands-on andmercially aware
21. Able to manage priorities and work under pressure
Desirable Experience
22. Emerce, retail or marketplace finance experience
23. Experience with Amazon, Shopify or multi-channel retail environments
24. Royalty accounting or licensing industry experience
25. Experience improving finance processes and systems
