Senior Accountant / Assistant Manager – Medium sized firm
Birmingham (Hybrid working)
£45,000 – £50,000 per annum
Butler Rose Public Practice is pleased to be recruiting on behalf of a well-established medium-sized firm of Chartered Accountants located in Birmingham. This role presents an outstanding opportunity for an ambitious and experienced Senior Accountant/Assistant Manager to join and supervise the local and outsourced team.
Role Requirements –
1. Prepare and review annual accounts for limited companies, sole traders, and partnerships, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant standards.
2. Assist with tax preparation and payroll processing, maintaining up-to-date knowledge of taxation rules and payroll regulations.
3. Ensure adherence to accounting standards, regulatory requirements, and internal policies, maintaining high levels of compliance and quality.
4. Review work produced by junior team members, providing constructive feedback, coaching, and ongoing professional development support.
5. Monitor and manage statutory deadlines, ensuring timely submission of financial statements, tax returns, and other required filings.
