A well-established telecommunications company based in the Berkshire area is seeking a Head of Legal – Property and Estates. The ideal candidate will be a qualified solicitor in England and Wales, with 10–15 years of post-qualification experience (PQE) and a strong background in commercial property law, gained through private practice and/or in-house roles.
We are looking for an experienced legal professional with a proven track record of managing legal functions within fast-paced, technology-driven environments. The successful candidate will have experience handling high-volume transactional matters and leading teams of lawyers.
This is a senior leadership role, requiring someone who can oversee a complex legal function, drive strategic initiatives, and lead through change with confidence and clarity.
The role will be responsible to establish a strong property legal function, develop and define the legal strategy for the property legal area, Develop and define the estates and acquisition strategy for the business from a legal perspective to ensure that the estate is managed and controlled to the optimal level which is capable of supporting the strategic growth of the business

Minimum Requirements
* Professional qualification to practice English law (e.g. solicitor/Barrister)
* 10-15 years of PQE – UK Experience
* Experience handling Commercial Property with high volume /transactional deals
* Experience in leading a complex legal function, and able to manage change effectively
* Strong interpersonal skills with proven ability to influence and build relationships with internal and external stakeholders, with excellent judgement and analytical skills.
* Strong commercial acumen with proven ability to think “outside the box” and develop innovative strategic solutions.
* Experience working with senior stakeholders and Boards
