As SENCO, you will ensure that high-quality support is in place for every child, through both strategic planning and hands-on collaboration with teaching and support teams. You will be a key member of the school’s leadership structure and contribute to a nurturing and therapeutic school culture.
Overseeing the implementation and review of EHCPs
Supporting staff to deliver effective classroom strategies for autism and SEMH
Coordinating referrals, assessments, and progress tracking for pupils with additional needs
Leading on annual reviews and acting as a liaison with external professionals
Supporting the emotional and academic development of pupils through inclusive practice
Job fairs
QTS and National SENCO Award
Experience working with autism and complex learning needs
Excellent communication and record-keeping skills
Understanding of the SEND Code of Practice and safeguarding expectations
