Part-Time School Caretaker - Sittingbourne
Location: SittingbourneHours: Monday to Friday, Part-Time (20 Hours Per Week)Pay: £15+ per hour
We are currently seeking a reliable and proactive School Caretaker to join a friendly and supportive school in Sittingbourne. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced caretaker or facilities professional looking for a long-term role within an educational setting.
Key Responsibilities
* Opening and securing the school premises each day
* Carrying out basic maintenance, repairs and general handyman duties
* Undertaking routine health and safety checks across the site
* Ensuring school buildings and grounds are safe, clean and well maintained
* Setting up classrooms, halls and other areas for school events and activities
* Monitoring site security and reporting any maintenance issues
* Supporting with deliveries, contractor visits and site access arrangements
* Assisting with the day-to-day upkeep of school facilities
The Ideal Candidate Will Have
* Previous experience as a School Caretaker, Site Manager, Facilities Assistant, Maintenance Operative or in a similar role
* Good practical maintenance and DIY skills
* A strong understanding of health and safety responsibilities
* The ability to work independently and manage their workload effectively
* A flexible, hands-on and dependable approach
* An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one
