What you’ll be doing:
Carrying out general maintenance, repairs, and DIY around the school site
Ensuring the school grounds and buildings are safe, clean, and secure
Opening and locking up the school each day, setting alarms, and monitoring site security
Managing cleaning staff and contractors where required
Supporting with health & safety checks, fire drills, and compliance records
Helping with setting up classrooms, halls, and facilities for events
What we’re looking for:
Previous experience in caretaking, site management, or a maintenance role
Practical DIY and repair skills (plumbing, electrics, carpentry – desirable but not essential)
A reliable, organised, and proactive attitude
Awareness of health & safety and safeguarding in schools
A team player who takes pride in their work and the school environment

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
