SCITT Primary Administrator

Salary: SC4 point 7-11 (£26,403-£28,142) pro rata

About the role
We are seeking to appoint a Primary Administrator as part of our SCITT support team. This role provides comprehensive administrative and operational support to the SCITT team, ensuring the effective delivery of the teacher training programme. The postholder will act as a key point of contact for trainees, applicants and partner schools, managing enquiries, coordinating recruitment and placements, maintaining accurate records across multiple systems, and supporting meetings, reporting and programme delivery. The role also involves overseeing trainee data and compliance processes, assisting with financial administration, and contributing to recruitment activity, while fostering a professional, supportive and inclusive experience for all trainees.
Key Responsibilities
* Act as the primary contact point for trainees, applicants and partner schools.
* Coordinate recruitment and placements, maintaining accurate records across multiple systems.
* Support meetings, reporting and overall programme delivery.
* Oversee trainee data and compliance processes.
* Assist with financial administration related to the SCITT programme.
* Contribute to recruitment activity and support a professional, supportive and inclusive atmosphere for all trainees.
Qualifications and Experience
* Experience of Microsoft Office packages.
* Experience of working effectively with others to meet common goals.
* NVQ 3 or equivalent qualification or experience in a relevant discipline.
* GCSEs at A*-C/9-4 or equivalent in English and Maths.
* Excellent IT, numeracy and literacy skills.
* Willingness to undertake further professional development.
