Job Description:
Our client, a prominent player in the Power Utilities and Energy sector, is seeking a Senior Electrical Design Engineer with expertise in 33kv to 132kv systems. This is a permanent role, offering the flexibility of working three days per week in the office, providing a great balance between professional engagement and personal time.
Key Responsibilities:
* Design and develop electrical systems focusing on 33kv to 132kv
* Utilise AutoCAD to draft electrical diagrams and schematics
* Integrate Independent Connection Provider (ICP) principles into energy projects
* Implement Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) and Solar technologies into designs
* Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to ensure project success
* Perform technical assessments and provide solutions for power distribution projects
* Provide training and support for high voltage (up to 132kv) systems as required
* Maintain compliance with relevant industry standards and regulations
Job Requirements:
* Extensive experience in electrical design engineering within the power utilities and energy sector
* Proficiency in designing systems within the 33kv to 132kv range
* Strong knowledge of ICP practices and BESS technologies
* Experience with Solar energy systems
* Proficiency in AutoCAD for designing and drafting electrical systems
* Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
* Strong communication and teamwork skills
* Relevant electrical engineering degree or equivalent qualification
