OS19-Trained Drainage CCTV / Drainage Engineer
Location: Meopham, Kent

Salary: £16 p/h / £33,000 - £35,000 P/A
Role Overview
Drainage Engineer / OS19 Drain CCTV Operator is responsible for carrying out CCTV inspections, diagnosing drainage issues, and delivering accurate condition reports to support repair, maintenance, and rehabilitation works. The role involves operating specialist CCTV equipment, conducting site investigations, and working safely in various environments including highways, commercial premises, and residential properties.
Key Responsibilities
• Conduct CCTV surveys of drainage systems using OS19X-compliant methods.
• Operate and maintain CCTV crawler units, push-rod systems, and associated software.
• Produce high-quality WRC/OS19X-coded reports detailing defects, pipe conditions, and recommendations.
• Carry out pre-survey checks, equipment calibrations, and risk assessments.
• Support jetting crews with blockage clearance, root cutting, and descaling when required.
• Perform confined space entries in line with training and H&S procedures (if applicable).
• Liaise with clients, site agents, and internal teams to deliver clear findings and advice.
• Identify and report any immediate safety or structural issues during surveys.
• Ensure all work is carried out within company, industry, and environmental standards.
• Maintain accurate job sheets, digital logs, and data uploads.
Skills & Experience Required
• OS19X / OS19 Drain Condition Coding certification (essential).
• Experience operating CCTV drainage inspection equipment (Minicam, iPEK, Proteus, etc.).
• Strong understanding of drainage networks, sewer systems, and defect classifications.
• Ability to read plans, drawings, and produce detailed technical reports.
• Full UK driving licence (essential).
• Experience in high-pressure jetting, pipe rehabilitation, or drainage repair (desirable).
• Confined Space training (Medium Risk or above desirable).
