Jevid's Care provides person-centred mental health support that helps people feel safe, confident, and comfortable in their own homes. We're expanding our outreach team in Warrington and are looking for an experienced, compassionate Support Worker to join us.
The role
You'll deliver one-to-one, recovery-focused support in service users' homes and the community. Typical tasks include:
* Building trusting relationships and providing emotional support
* Supporting with daily living skills and routines that promote independence
* Enabling access to community activities, appointments, and meaningful goals
* Following personalised support plans and risk assessments
* Monitoring wellbeing, recording accurate notes, and escalating concerns promptly
* Working collaboratively with families, clinicians, and Jevid's Care colleagues
What we're looking for
* Essential: Demonstrable experience working in mental health settings (community, supported living, hospital, or similar)
* Essential: Relevant training in mental health (e.g., Mental Health First Aid, de-escalation, safeguarding, recovery approaches)
* A person-centred, trauma-informed approach with excellent communication skills
* Reliability, professional boundaries, and strong record-keeping
* Comfortable working in service users' homes and lone-working when required
* Flexibility to cover daytime, some evenings/weekends as needed
* Right to work in the UK. Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain)
Desirable
* Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
* NVQ/QCF Level 2/3 in Health & Social Care (or working towards)
* Experience supporting people with co-occurring needs (e.g., substance use, autism, learning disability)
