A Vacancy at Buckinghamshire Healthcare NHS Trust. An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Band 6 occupational therapist with a keen interest in neurology to join our friendly, dynamic and committed Community Neurorehabilitation Service, Rayners Hedge Aylesbury. The role is suitable for an existing Band 6 or an experienced Band 5 with relevant experience who wishes to further develop skills in neuro rehabilitation. You need to be a motivated, confident, autonomous practitioner with high level communication skills, a flexible problem-solving approach, good clinical reasoning skills, and be efficient in your time and people management. You will support individuals with a range of neurological conditions, work holistically towards patient-led goals in maximising their potential. You will have the opportunity to work as part of a highly experienced multi-disciplinary team renowned for their innovative and holistic approach. A culture of learning and development is central to the team, with ample opportunity to further enhance your skills in this area of neurorehabilitation.
Responsibilities
* To provide specialist Occupational Therapy assessment and intervention for adults who have been referred to the Community Neurological Rehabilitation Service (CNRS).
* To assess the functional, rehabilitation and vocational needs of patients referred to CNRS. This includes working in a variety of locations within the community.
* To manage a caseload of patients with complex needs in the field of neurological rehabilitation.
* To work as an autonomous practitioner (accessing clinical supervision as required), evidencing high levels of problem solving and clinical reasoning.
