Cover Supervisor – Alternative Provision (Full-Time)
Hours: 8:30am – 3:30pm, Monday to Friday
Location: Burnley
Salary: Dependent on skills and experience
We are seeking a dedicated and resilient Cover Supervisor to join our Alternative Provision setting. This is a full-time role supporting students with a range of social, emotional, and behavioural needs.
The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising classes during teacher absence, delivering work set by the class teacher, and ensuring that learning continues in a calm and purposeful environment. You will cover a range of subjects across different age groups, so flexibility and confidence in managing challenging behaviour are essential.
Key responsibilities:
* Deliver pre-prepared lessons and activities set by the class teacher
* Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies
* Support students to engage positively with their learning
* Provide feedback to teaching staff on student progress and behaviour
* Maintain a safe, supportive and inclusive learning environment
Requirements:
* Experience working with young people, ideally within an Alternative Provision or SEN setting
* Strong behaviour management and communication skills
* Ability to adapt to different subjects and learning styles
* A calm, consistent and patient approach
