Job Description
A welcoming primary school on the Wirral is seeking an experienced Nursery-qualified Teacher to join their Early Years team on a part-time basis (2–3 afternoons per week), starting ASAP.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an Early Years specialist looking for a consistent, part-week role in a supportive school environment.
The Role:
1. Teaching within a Nursery provision
2. Delivering engaging, play-based learning
3. Supporting early communication, language and social development
4. Working closely with EYFS staff and support team
5. Maintaining high standards of care and learning
We’re Looking For:
6. Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
7. Proven Nursery / Early Years teaching experience
8. Strong knowledge of the EYFS framework
9. A nurturing, calm and engaging approach
10. Ability to commit to 2–3 afternoons per week
This is an ideal role for an experienced Early Years teacher seeking flexibility while maintaining a regular commitment.

Job Specification
An EYFS Teacher works in day nurseries and also nursery or reception classes in infant or primary schools.

As an EYFS teacher you’ll be expected to:
18. Hold QTS status
19. Teach all areas of the Early Years Statutory Framework
20. Organise the classroom and learning resources to create a safe and positive teaching environment
21. Plan and prepare activities that cater for the needs of the whole ability range within their class
22. Motivate pupils with enthusiastic, imaginative presentation;
23. Maintain discipline
24. Meet requirements for the assessment and recording of pupils’ development
25. Coordinate activities and resources within a specific area of the curriculum, and supporting colleagues in the delivery of this specialist area
26. Stay up to date with changes and developments in the structure of the curriculum
27. Take part in school events and activities which may take place at weekends or in the evening
28. Liaise with colleagues and working flexibly, particularly in smaller schools and day-nurseries.
