Role Overview:

We are seeking an experienced and proactive 2nd Line Engineer to join our IT team. The successful candidate will handle technical incidents, service requests, and small-scale project work from our team of 130 staff based in Bristol. This role requires strong technical knowledge of Windows client environments, Microsoft 365 services, and device/application management with Intune. The engineer will support business users across the organisation, ensuring high levels of customer service and system reliability.

Key Responsibilities:

- Provide 2nd line support for incidents and requests, ensuring timely resolution in line with SLAs.

- Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve issues across Windows client devices, networking, and Microsoft 365 services.

- Administer and manage Microsoft Intune for Windows endpoint deployment, configuration, compliance, and application delivery.

- Support and maintain Microsoft 365 applications, including Office, Exchange, SharePoint, Teams, and OneDrive.

- Support and maintain a range of business applications in the design and research space.

- Perform user and group administration in Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD) and Active Directory.

- Ensure timely patching, updates, and general maintenance of the Windows desktop estate.
