Tent BuilderLocation: Northampton & surrounding areas, Nottingham, Sheffield, Leeds, London and Milton Keynes Job Type: Full-Time | Temp to Perm Salary: From £15.00 per hour DOE + overtime and allowancesQuest Employment is recruiting for experienced Tent Builders on behalf of a growing, well-established company that specialises in large-scale event structures and semi-permanent buildings across the UK and Europe.This is a fantastic opportunity to work on high-profile events, sporting venues, exhibitions, hospitality projects, and major temporary structures throughout the UK, with occasional overseas work.If you enjoy practical work, travelling, working outdoors, and being part of a close team, this could be the ideal role for you.The Role As a Tent Builder, you will support the erection and dismantling of temporary structures and semi-permanent buildings at a variety of locations across the UK and Europe.No two days are the same, with projects changing regularly. During quieter winter months, there may also be yard-based work at the Swan Valley depot.Typical working pattern:Predominantly Monday to FridayWorking away may involve up to 12 consecutive days depending on the projectUsual working hours are 1012 hours per day, typically 8:00am 6:00pmEarly starts and overnight stays are requiredPaid time starts from collection at the Swan Valley depotStandard week is 40 hours, with overtime paid for any hours worked above this, and the option to bank overtime hours for quieter periods up to 240 hours per yearKey Responsibilities Constructing and dismantling temporary event structures and buildingsLoading and unloading equipment and materialsWorking safely and effectively as part of a team on siteUsing hand tools and specialist equipmentFollowing all health and safety proceduresTravelling to projects across the UK and occasionally EuropeWhat Were Looking For We are looking for candidates who have:A full UK driving licenceA valid passport and willingness to travel abroad when requiredPrevious experience in tent building, construction, labouring, events, or a similar hands-on roleStrong teamwork skills and a positive attitudeA practical, can-do approach to workConfidence working outdoors in all weather conditionsA technical mindset and willingness to learnThe ability to stay away from home for up to 12 days when neededTraining opportunities include:CSCSForkliftMEWP / aerial platform trainingAdditional forklift licences or certificates would be an advantage and may lead to a higher pay rate following interview assessment.Pay & Benefits Starting rate from £15.00 per hour, depending on experienceWeekly payHigher rates available for experienced Tent Builders, depending on skills and qualificationsOvertime paid after 40 hours at x1.25Saturday overtime paid at x1.5Sunday overtime paid at double time£12 overnight allowance£7 daily site allowance when working awayHotels fully paid for during overnight staysMeals provided while away, including breakfast and evening meal with drinksCompany vehicles, tools, and workwear supplied23 days holiday plus Bank HolidaysSalary and progression reviews every 6 monthsOpportunities to progress into senior and supervisory positionsFull training and development providedTemp to perm opportunitySupportive, team-focused working environmentPlease note: on the first day of each project, employees will need to provide their own food until arrival on site, where dinner will be provided.Apply today to join a growing team working on some of the UKs most exciting and large-scale projects.TPBN1_UKTJ
