The opportunity to work as clinical band 7 physio in a specialist neurorehabilitation unit does not come up often and this is a great place to work!
We are looking for an experienced physiotherapist with a passion for neurorehabilitation to join our friendly, well established team within Fife Neuro Rehabilitation Service (FNRS). FNRS provides in-patient, outpatient and community rehab for adults with a wide range of neurological conditions.
If you have considerable experience of neurorehabilitation and enjoy being an effective team player, our physiotherapy and multidisciplinary team would love you to apply. You would deliver expert rehabilitation, primarily to inpatients in our 12-bedded ward at the Sir George Sharp Unit. These are mostly people with stroke or brain injury/major trauma. You will lead assistant practitioner and specialist colleagues and play a key role in optimising patient care from assessment to discharge planning, ensuring a coordinated approach to ensuring patient flow.
We are a progressive multidisciplinary team who work closely together with patients, families and other services, and strive to provide high quality rehabilitation, learn together and develop our service. We are committed to personal and service development, and support learning opportunities and participation in practice development networks.
Evidence of effective clinical leadership is essential and you must have excellent communication skills
The ability to travel throughout Fife during the working day is essential.
If this has piqued your interest and you want to know more we will be happy to answer any questions and chat with you or come and meet the team (and verify the claims made in this ad!)

NHS Scotland is reducing their full-time working week from 37.5 to 37 hours per week from 1 April 2024 but with no change in pay. This reduction will also be applied pro rata for part time staff. This advert and any subsequent offer/contract of employment therefore reflects the new working hours. However, as not all service areas will be able to adopt the 37 hour working week immediately from 1 April 2024, you may be required to work up to an additional 30 minutes per week for a temporary period for which you would be paid until the service you are working in changes rosters or working patterns to accommodate the new reduced working week. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact the Recruiting Board.
