The role is accountable for client acquisition, account expansion and revenue growth, while shaping how our banking services are positioned and taken to market. You will have been successful in a similar role with a strong network in UK banking, building societies and wealth managers. This is a role for an individual who combines strong commercial instinct with credibility in banking transformation, digital strategy and technology-led change. The successful candidate will be comfortable operating with senior client stakeholders across business, product, technology and architecture functions, and will be able to represent Marionete’s capabilities with confidence in both executive and solution-oriented discussions. You will establish trust and credibility with senior client stakeholders by combining executive-level communication, sector insight and a strong understanding of modern technology platforms and architectures. Operating as a trusted adviser to C-suite, digital, product, technology and architecture leaders, you will identify and shape transformation opportunities, translate complex client challenges into compelling commercial propositions, and lead the full sales lifecycle from opportunity creation through to deal closure. You will be expected to contribute meaningfully to solution shaping and strategic conversations, particularly in early-stage engagements, proposals, RFPs and client workshops. While not acting as a hands-on architect, you will be able to: Challenge and validate proposed approaches and transformation roadmaps; Articulate the value of modern data platforms, cloud-native services, digital propositions and integration patterns; Engage confidently in discussions around customer experience, operational resilience, governance, security, modernisation and regulatory considerations in banking; Position Marionete effectively in conversations around banking transformation, open finance, digital channels, data enablement and technology strategy. Across your portfolio of banking clients, you will provide senior oversight to ensure engagements are delivered to a high technical and professional standard. You will work closely with Marionete’s architects, engineering leads and delivery managers to ensure solutions remain aligned to client objectives while identifying opportunities to expand scope, introduce additional capabilities and deepen long-term partnerships. You will be responsible for driving the commercial expansion of Marionete’s banking client base, including: Leading client origination, account development and senior relationship management across the banking sector; Building trusted relationships with executive stakeholders across business, digital, technology and transformation functions; Shaping and contributing to proposals, RFP responses and client presentations, including proposition, solution and delivery approach definition; Identifying and developing opportunities linked to banking transformation, digital modernisation, data strategy and technology-enabled growth; Pricing engagements, managing commercials and delivering against revenue and margin targets; Acting as Marionete’s senior client representative, addressing commercial, delivery and strategic concerns at executive level. You will mobilise and lead high-performing teams, ensuring that delivery quality, technical integrity and client satisfaction remain central to all engagements. As a senior leader, you will set the standard for commercial discipline, client leadership and market credibility, while fostering a culture where strong engineering and delivery practices underpin trust and long-term growth. You will also contribute to strategic planning, service development and the evolution of Marionete’s banking propositions and market positioning. 10 years’ experience in a recognised technology consultancy, digital consultancy or transformation-led services business, with significant exposure to banking and financial services; Proven track record of originating, selling and growing consulting engagements in complex enterprise environments; Strong understanding of banking transformation themes, including digital channels, customer experience, data, modernisation, integration and platform strategy; Sufficient technical depth to engage credibly with CTOs, architects, digital leaders and transformation stakeholders; Experience shaping commercially viable, outcome-led solutions in collaboration with architects, engineers and delivery teams; Strong executive presence and the ability to engage with senior stakeholders across both commercial and technology domains; Familiarity with data, cloud and digital ecosystems relevant to regulated financial services environments. Executive-level written and verbal communication skills; Able to bridge business, technology and delivery perspectives; Strong strategic and consultative selling capability; Comfortable operating in complex, regulated client environments; Experienced in international, hybrid working contexts.
