An established and highly regarded, people centric London law firm is seeking a Private Client Tax Solicitor to join its growing specialist team. This is a rare opportunity to work on complex tax and estate planning matters in a firm known for combining technical strength with personal service.
The Role The successful candidate will lead on a wide range of private client tax matters, supporting high-net-worth individuals, trustees, families, and business owners. The work is varied and intellectually stimulating, including:
1. Inheritance tax planning and lifetime gifting strategies
2. Establishing and administering onshore and offshore trusts
3. Capital gains and income tax advisory
4. Personal tax compliance and domicile/residence advice
5. Cross-border estate structuring
6. Liaising with investment managers, accountants, and family offices
You will work closely with an experienced team of Solicitors legal professionals in a collaborative, team orientated environment.
Candidate Profile This role would suit a solicitor with a strong grounding in private client tax and a genuine interest in helping clients plan for the future. The firm welcomes applications from junior lawyers with relevant training as well as experienced senior associates.
Essential requirements:
7. Qualified solicitor (England & Wales)
8. STEP and/or CTA qualified (or working towards)
9. Deomonstrable experience in inheritance tax, CGT, trusts, and personal tax matters
10. Strong written and verbal communication skills
11. Ability to work independently and collaboratively
12. A personable and pragmatic approach to client service
