Clinical Deputy Manager

* £22.30 per hour | Circa £41,000 per annum
* 3 x 8-hour shifts & 1 x 12-hour shift per week
We are seeking a passionate and experienced Clinical Deputy Manager to join a well-established and highly regarded Nursing & Residential Home in Newcastle. The home is purpose-built, modern, and boasts a Good CQC rating in all areas. Youll be part of a caring and committed team dedicated to delivering the highest standards of care to elderly residents, including those with dementia and end-of-life needs.
About the Role:
As the Clinical Deputy Manager, you will play a pivotal role in the daily running of the home, supporting the Home Manager in leading the clinical and care teams. Your responsibilities will be primarily supernumerary, with hands-on clinical leadership as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
* Oversee care delivery, care plans, and ensure regulatory compliance
* Lead and manage a team of nurses and care staff
* Support rota planning, staff development, and training
* Assist with recruitment, appraisals, and performance management
* Liaise with residents, families, and external professionals
* Occasionally cover nursing shifts on the floor
What Were Looking For:
* NMC Registered Nurse Adult, Mental Health or Learning Disabilities
* Previous experience as a Clinical Lead or Deputy Manager in a care home setting
* Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills
* Passion for elderly care and commitment to continuous improvement
* Working Hours:Core hours: 3 x 8-hour day shifts (MonFri, 08:0016:00)
* 1 x 12-hour shift per week
* Some evening/weekend work and on-call responsibilities may apply
