Join the team supporting the UK submarine programme at Devonport. Were recruiting experienced Industrial Painters to work on major defence assets. Work is within tanks and confined spaces, with strict safety and quality standards.
What you will do:
Blasting and spraying.
Coating inspection, measurement, and quality documentation.
Work safely in confined spaces and at height, following permits and isolations.
Use of industrial spray equipment and associated tools.
Support fault-finding, touch-ups, and rework to meet programme timelines.
Requirements:
Eligibility and ability to attain SC (Security Check) clearance.
Willingness and fitness to work in tanks/confined spaces.
Proven industrial painting/coatings experience in a heavy engineering or marine/defence setting.
Strong H&S mindset; ability to follow written procedures and permits.
Right to work in the UK.
Ability to pass pre-employment Drug & Alcohol testing and ongoing screening as required.
Qualifications: Applications welcomed from TTP Silver and Gold, or ICATS Blasters and Sprayers. Please include copies of current qualifications with your CV.
Pay & Benefits:
Hourly PAYE rates: £22.29£45.38 inclusive of holiday pay (dependent on role/skill/shift).
Lodge allowance: £57.01 per night (eligibility criteria apply).
Shifts: ~70 hours/week on a 13 on / 1 off rotation (subject to programme needs).
Overtime/shift premia may apply as per assignment details.
