Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Veterinary Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for animal care and welfare, along with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. This role is essential in supporting our veterinary staff in providing high-quality care to our patients and ensuring a positive experience for pet owners.
Duties
* Assist veterinarians during examinations and procedures, ensuring the comfort and safety of animals.
* Prepare and maintain examination rooms, ensuring all necessary equipment is sterilised and ready for use.
* Maintain accurate patient records and assist with administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments and answering client queries.
* Ensure cleanliness of the facility, including kennels, treatment areas, and waiting rooms.
* Educate pet owners on proper animal care practices and post-treatment instructions.
Requirements
* Previous veterinary experience is highly desirable, providing familiarity with animal handling and clinical procedures.
* Laboratory experience is an advantage, particularly in performing diagnostic tests.
* Strong communication skills to effectively interact with clients and team members.
* Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
* A genuine love for animals and a commitment to their welfare.
