The market currently delivers circa £300M in gross written premiums across the UK, with an anticipated 15% annual growth over the next five years. Creating a standalone UK SME cyber proposition is a significant growth initiative for this insurer’s UK Broker Channel Unit, which is already its largest and fastest-growing division.

Candidate Profile
Aston Charles is pleased to assist in recruiting several Development Underwriters. These are home-based roles, open to applicants anywhere in the UK, with regular broker engagement and occasional office visits. We welcome applications from experienced Cyber Development Underwriters, those seeking more broker-facing roles, and Underwriters from related disciplines with a passion for Cyber.
Responsibilities
* Support the development plan for a specific panel of brokers.
* Work closely with the Head of Trading, Head of Cyber, and Broker Development Director to meet strategic and financial goals.
* Develop and maintain strong broker relationships and provide excellent stakeholder service.
* Write complex Cyber business within your authority and risk appetite.
Requirements
Proven track record in building broker relationships and developing pipelines of business. Enthusiasm for engaging brokers and explaining the benefits of Cyber insurance.
