We currently have exciting opportunities within our Family Time Service for workers with good availability who are looking to work on a casual contract for a friendly and supportive team who is determined to make a difference and have a genuine impact on the lives of children and families in Buckinghamshire.

We are particularly interested in people who are available to supervise family time sessions for children after school and with some weekend availability to support families in the community. Workers will be expected to work predominantly in Aylesbury, High Wycombe, and surrounding areas.

The Family Time Service is required to support the overall development of children and young people by providing quality time with birth relatives from whom they are separated whilst being looked after by the Local Authority. This is a fantastic opportunity to support the development and progression of the service and to ensure that direct intervention support to families is linked to best outcomes for children and young people.

To supervise family time between children in Local Authority care and their birth families.

* Supervise family time sessions after school and weekend support for families.
* Support the overall development of children and young people by providing quality time with birth relatives.
* Ensure direct intervention support to families is linked to best outcomes for children and young people.
* Respond appropriately to the needs of children, young people, and families in an accurate and timely way.
* Work proactively within the team to ensure the best outcomes for children and families.
* Have appropriate experience of working with the relevant client group and understanding of the relevant statutory frameworks/requirements and practical knowledge of a range of procedures and interventions to support families.
* Hold a recognised qualification in care work with vulnerable children, young people, and families such as NVQ Level 2.
* Be required to hold a full current driving licence.
* Customer‑facing, able to speak to members of the public in accurate spoken English.
* Have sensitivity and empathy to build trusting and supportive relationships with families and skills to influence, persuade and motivate them to achieve agreed goals and targets.
