Job Advert
We are looking for a Support Worker to join our service in Easingwold on a permanent, part-time basis (30 hours a week). Shifts will be scheduled across mornings, afternoons, evenings, weekends, and bank holidays.
We aim to expand our team of dedicated, caring, and enthusiastic support workers to help the individuals we support to live the lives they choose.
If you enjoy supporting someone with various activities, our 1:1 support service might be perfect for you. You will support a young man engaging in different activities weekly, such as football, swimming, or exploring with his National Trust tickets. The support worker will need to match or surpass his passion for fun!
Alternatively, if you are interested in supporting individuals to develop life skills for independent living, we have a service for you. You will support our ladies at home, assisting with daily tasks like shopping and cooking, and accompanying them on outings like coffee dates. Small acts can make a big difference in helping them live independently.
Support needs vary; some individuals require only verbal prompts for personal care, while others may need more hands-on support. Full training and shadowing will be provided.
We understand the importance of flexibility. While shifts can start early or late and include sleep-in or waking night shifts, we strive to accommodate your personal commitments. For sleep-in shifts, an enhanced flat rate of £63.70 applies, though this is non-contractual.
Responsibilities
* Supporting individuals to live independently, manage budgets, pay bills, do housework, and prepare healthy meals.
* Building relationships and supporting understanding of the world around them.
* Facilitating community and social inclusion through local activities and events.
* Providing personal care, including prompting medication and assisting with bathing, showering, and bathroom use. Not all roles require high levels of personal care.
* All roles require an enhanced DBS check and suitable references.
Job ID: 33766
We are committed to diversity and inclusion, encouraging applications from disabled individuals and from Black and Asian communities, which are underrepresented in our workforce.
Benefits
* 24 days of annual leave plus bank holidays (pro-rata for part-time), with options for pension and holiday buying.
* Ongoing training and development opportunities.
* A supportive, inclusive work environment where your contributions are valued.
