Description
An exciting opportunity has arisen for 2 skilled Repair of Spares Inspectors to join us at the Engine Overhaul Services (EOS) facility in Derby.
The EOS facility is operational for 20 hours a day, 365 days a year; as the only wholly owned Large Engine MRO facility, with capability to maintain all modern Trent engines, EOS is fundamental to the future success of Civil Aerospace.
Working as part of a high performing team, the Repair of Spares Inspectors will be responsible for delivering the Non-Shop Visit (WID) activity requested of EOS, contributing to both our tactical and strategic load.
Responsibilities
1. Inspection of assemblies and components using the direction of Engine Manuals, Work Instructions, Technical Information & drawings and using the information to ensure that all Engine components are serviceable or need repair/replacing.
2. The skilled Inspector will work as part of the Overhaul Team to raise non-conformances, overcheck critical build assemblies & components and ensure the engine configuration is correct to customer or regulatory requirement.
3. Working to set deadlines to achieve performance targets and customer delivery commitments.
4. Working in a compliant manner to ensure that products are built to the correct technical and quality specifications.
5. Ensuring Health & safety is always kept to a high standard.
6. Participating in continual review and improvement processes for the business to identify best practice.
7. Work in collaboration with Quality & Engineering Functions daily to ensure airworthiness is of the highest standard.
Education required
8. It is essential that candidates possess a recognised Skilled Time-served apprenticeship OR Advanced Modern Apprenticeship within a mechanical/engineering discipline AND an NVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualification.
9. We will also accept equivalent qualifications gained through service within the Armed Forces providing they meet the requirement.

10. Candidates must be able to demonstrate experience in using a variety of engineering equipment and the ability to interpret engineering drawings and apply instructions correctly to achieve required product quality.
11. Ideally, you will be able to demonstrate relevant Inspection experience of working with engine/complex assembly components.
12. Knowledge of lean principles and process basics.
13. Must be able to provide all certifications before interview.
