We are seeking a Production Machinist to operate both conventional manual and CNC centre lathes. The successful candidate will be required to produce a wide range of components from drawings, working to tight tolerances and surface finishes.

Key Responsibilities:--
Manufacturing components efficiently and to a high standardAccurately recording final dimensions and surface finishes of all componentsInvolvement of day-to-day workshop in relation to quality, H&S and environmental activities.Interpret engineering data and documentation such as engineering drawings, technical data and computer-generated programmesWork under minimum supervision, taking responsibility for the quality and accuracy of the work you undertakeBe pro-active in finding solutions to problems and identifying areas for improving the businessEnsure standard work practices and procedures are being followedMake regular planned maintenance checks to ensure machinery is operating correctly
Experience required:
HNC Level in Manufacturing or similar engineering disciplineWorking knowledge of manual & CNC lathesAbility to work to instruction and on own initiativeSelecting and using a range of measuring and testing equipment xxuwjjq to check components are to the required quality and accuracyAble to read and interpret engineering dataAble to demonstrate problem solving skills to solve and repair issues efficiently and effectivelyExperience of operating Fanuc control, 3-Axis Doosan Puma lathes with live tooling would be an advantage, but not essential
