A leading, established and highly successful provider of mechanical and electrical installation services to commercial and industrial buildings seeks the solid appointment of a skilled Electrical Project Engineer from an M&E / Building Services electrical installation projects background to join their exciting planned growth and continued success.
Responsibilities
* Involved with projects that can range from £1.5M-£20M+.
* Require M&E installations experience in commercial and/or industrial environments as an Electrical Project Engineer or similar.
* Support and enhance the delivery of a project from a technical perspective, reporting to a Project Manager or Contracts Manager.
* Collaborate office‑ and site‑based to support project requirements.
* Familiarize with all project details, designs and specifications, collate technical submittals and manage this process liaising daily with suppliers, Site Supervisors, Project Managers, EHSQ Advisors and Subcontractors.
* Manage site QA/QC procedures, issuing weekly and monthly QA/QC reports and coordinating drawings when requested.
* Advise and guide sub‑contracted staff on all technical aspects of projects and raise any technical requests for information required to complete the electrical installations.
* Ensure compliance with site and project requirements including operational health and safety obligations, perform troubleshooting techniques to identify problems and apply corrective actions, while managing document control to keep logs up to date.
* Create handover packs and test packs for installed systems, ready for handover.
Qualifications
* Bachelor’s Degree level in Electrical Engineering, Building Services or an equivalent discipline.
* Comprehensive understanding of the tendering process.
* Working knowledge of MS Project and MS Office Suite.
* Strong communication and organisational skills.
* Willingness to learn and adapt to different elements of a project.
