Job Purpose: Coordinate and manage all R&D related technical activities for motion control in chassis systems including brake system, drive train, steering and suspension, from requirement definition to release testing with related stakeholders, customers, tier1s and sub suppliers.
Tasks and Responsibilities
* Lead the delivery of propulsion system functions which includes:
o Acceleration Control
o Automatic Deceleration to Stop (ADTS)
o All Wheel Drive
o Park and standstill management incl. related EPB features
* Shaping and defining user stories, functions and requirements to fulfil customer expectations.
* Consuming feature-level requirements from but not limited to regulation: Ride & Handling, Stability, Automation (ADAS), Functional Safety, Power Management, Diagnostics, end-of-line testing, manufacturing
* Creation and management of software delivery plan in line with feature maturity
* Ensure software delivery to date and tight timelines working cross-functionally across teams, building relationships (internal & Tier 1 suppliers)
* Ensure propulsion control system is integrated into the EE architecture and ensure cross-functional verification is in accordance to specification
* Ensure commissioning of the propulsion control system on Labcar, HIL actuator rigs & EOL tester
* Proactively lead the issue resolution of bugs or any other ECU related issues, ensure all the issues are captured, root cause analysis & countermeasure implementation is done in time to close the issues
* Perform Risk and Change Management, Gap Analysis and Issue identification including project status reporting across all levels of management and external stakeholders
* Creation and Maintenance of a broad network of potential Tier1 suppliers in brake system, steering and suspension to allow strategic supplier consultancy for vehicle platforms of different OEMs
Qualification and Technical Competencies
* Enhanced experience in Brake system sizing, E/E architecture design, simulation, testing (SiL, HiL & vehicle) for complex motion control function definition and application >10 years for electromechanical Brake systems in OEM or Tier1 supplier
* Management experience for crossfunctional teams >5 years
* Launch of several series projects for Brake systems or motion control functions across multiple actuators like e.g. steering and suspension in Automotive Industry
* Knowhow about Automotive specific development methods, processes and requirements with respective evaluation methods for safety-relevant HW, SW and Systems incl. Cybersecurity and OTA functions
* Intercultural communication skills with matrix stakeholders
* Strong problem resolution and change management capability in flexible environments
* Diplomacy, teamwork, analytical & structured thinking, modern management capability
* Good conversational English and German language skills
